Stair Formwork Ltd was established in 2020 with a simple commitment: to provide excellent customer service. Five years later, that commitment remains at the heart of everything we do—but much else has changed.
From a single unit in Huntingdon to market leadership, here is the story of our first five years.
2020 – The Beginning
Stair Formwork Ltd began with a vision: to offer a faster, safer, more cost-effective means of constructing in-situ concrete stairs.
The early days were busy. We secured our first contracts, built our team, and established our manufacturing processes. The Lewisham project—our first major high-rise scheme—demonstrated that we could compete at the highest level.
2021–2022 – Growth and Expansion
Demand for our products grew rapidly. We expanded our manufacturing capacity, invested in new equipment, and grew our design team. Balustrades became an integral part of our offering, and we developed our Riser Grid void form system.
Our geographical reach expanded beyond March to cover London, the South East, and eventually Europe-wide.
2023–2024 – Market Leadership
By 2023, we had established ourselves as market leaders in stair formwork and balustrade manufacturing. Our capacity—the largest in the market—allowed us to take on the most demanding projects.
We invested in testing and certification, proving our products’ fire resistance and load capacity. Our flame-retardant wrap became a standard feature, demonstrating our commitment to site safety.
2025 – Looking Forward
Relocation to 20,000 sq ft commercial warehouse and double offices. As we look to the future, our goals remain the same: to be the preferred supplier in our industry, to deliver the right product to the right place at the right time, and to maintain the customer focus that brought us here. Bigger capacity and market leader.
